Nothing is better after a long ride than an ice cold brew, and in Bend, beer is big. Bend is affectionately known as “Beervana,” with more craft breweries per capita than Portland. Central Oregon boasts 13 craft breweries, many of which are expanding their operations or pubs to accommodate thirsty souls who venture from near and far to sample the award-winning microbrews for which Oregon has become known. During your visit, you can enjoy a range of local, hop-laden libations within a short walk from your hotel! The Bend Ale Trail (view map here) boasts an app for your mobile phone (get it here) to direct you to them all, with many breweries right in town.

An unusual marriage of Bend's love for beer and cycling has resulted in the Cycle Pub, a rolling pub on wheels in which participants peddle for their food and drink in a moveable party that travels around town. Whether local or tourist, Bend is synonymous with playing hard and drinking well. With the plethora of microbrews crafted here, from pale ales to stout, you will find plenty that make you smile.
